Ambassador Andrestinos Papadopoulos a.h.

Ambassador Papadopoulos holds an B.Ph. from the University of Athens, an LL.B and Doctor of Laws from the University of Geneva, and an M.Phil from the University of London. Ambassador Papadopoulos has had a long and distinguished career stretching for over four decades. He has served as Director of Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador to Yugoslavia, Algeria, and Czechoslovakia. In 1993 he was appointed Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Cyprus to the Council of Europe, where he was also member of the Governing Body of the Social Development Fund of the Council of Europe, and Chairman of the Committee of Minister’ Deputies of the Council of Europe. Ambassador Papadopoulos is the Honorary Chairman of the European Rim Policy and Investment Council (ERPIC).

Christodoulos G. Pelaghias

Dr. Pelaghias holds degrees in International affairs (MIA 1979), Law (J.D 1982), and Political Science (Ph.D. 1999) from Columbia University. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Cyprus. He is a member of many professional associations. He is the Cyprus Chapter Chair of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), and serves on the executive committee of NYSBA. Dr. Pelaghias formerly worked as a corporate finance attorney in New York City. He is the President of the Cyprus Council of the European Movement International (EMI), and a former member of the Board of Directors of EMI. He is also the Chairman of the European Rim Policy and Investment Council (ERPIC). Dr. Pelaghias is the author of numerous articles on political science, international affairs and law.

Sherle Schwenninger

Sherle Schwenninger holds an BA, University of Nebraska, and a J.D from George Washington University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Washington D.C. He was formerly director of World Policy Institute and editor of the World Policy Journal. He was also director of the Transnational Academic Program Institute of World Order and Assistant Dean and Lecturer at the American University school of Law. He served as senior program coordinator for the Project on Development, Trade, and International Finance at the Council on Foreign Relations, and has been a founding member of, and adviser to, the European Rim Policy and Investment Council (ERPIC). Mr. Schwenninger also directs the New America Foundation’s Economic Growth and American Strategy Programs. He is a frequent writer and speaker on questions involving the U.S. and world economies and on issues related to American foreign policy and international economic strategy.

Annita G. Papakyriacou

Annita Papakyriacou holds a diploma in journalism and communication (1980), and a BA in Public Law and Political Science from the Law School of the University of Athens (1983). Since 1995 she is the Managing Director of Seaward Management Ltd. She has extensive experience in the set-up and administration of multi-jurisdictional corporate structures, tax planning, and regulatory matters in relation to investment vehicles. Ms. Papakyriacou also manages and oversees the review, evaluation and submission process of international bids on behalf of clients.

Eva Dionysiou

Eva Dionysiou holds an LL.B from the University of Nottingham Trent (2002). She is admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association. She specializes in corporate, tax planning, and immovable property law, as well as matters relating to compliance under Cyprus law. Ms. Dionysiou is also a member of the Cyprus Chapter of the New York State Bar Association’s international section.

George Chr. Pelaghias

George Chr. Pelaghias holds an M.A. in History (2006), and an LL.M (2008) from Uppsala University, Sweden. He is admitted to the Swedish Bar Association, and the Cyprus Bar Association. Mr. Pelaghias specializes in corporate and international tax matters, hydrocarbon legislation, regulatory issues relating to collective and private investment structures licenced by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as due diligence and compliance matters. Mr. Pelaghias is a certified anti-money laundering specialist, and currently serves as the firm’s AML compliance officer. He is also listed in the Public Register of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission.  Mr Pelaghias is a member of the board of the international section of the Swedish Bar Assoication, is a member of the Cyprus Chapter of the New York State Bar Association’s international section, a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), and a founding member, as well as a member of the board of the Cyprus Chapter of ACAMS. Mr. Pelaghias also holds the position of Executive Director of the European Rim Policy and Investment Council (ERPIC), a Cyprus-based think-tank focusing on legal, geopolitical, and energy issues in the Near East and the Eastern Mediterranean basin. Mr. Pelaghias is a frequent speaker at international conferences, and has lectured at European and American universities. He is also an Associate Lecturer at the Law School of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Cyprus.

Carol E. Bailey

Carol E. Bailey studied Management Information and Data Processing at Glasgow Caledonian University (1979). She has held executive positions in several management disciplines, and is a former Country Chairman/President Director of Royal Dutch Shell’s business operations in Indonesia. During her time in Indonesia she was involved in securing operating licenses, as well as the negotiations of major contracts for land, construction of facilities and provision of third party services. At present Carol Bailey serves on the Board of Directors of the Near East Energy Associates Ltd., an energy consultancy firm associated with Pelaghias LLC.
