Background
Dr. Pelaghias formerly worked as a corporate finance attorney in New York City, and served as special advisor to the permanent mission of Cyprus to the United Nations in New York, and the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Washington D.C.  Dr. Pelaghias is the President of the Cyprus Council of the European Movement International (EMI), and a former member of the Board of Directors of EMI. Dr. Pelaghias is the Chairman of the European Rim Policy and Investment Council (ERPIC), and is the author of numerous articles on political science, international affairs and law.

Mr. Pelaghias specializes in Corporate law, energy law, regulatory issues relating to regulatory licensing with the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as due diligence and compliance matters. Mr. Pelaghias is listed in the Public Register for Financial Services, and is a certified anti-money laundering specialist. He is a board member of the International Section of the Swedish Bar Association, and a member of the Cyprus Chapter of the New York State Bar Association’s International Section. Mr. Pelaghias also holds the position of Exec. Director of the European Rim Policy and Investment Council (ERPIC). He is a frequent speaker at international conferences.
